Pre-occupation Inspection and Demonstration
We will arrange for a member of our team to meet you at the property approximately two weeks before legal completion for what we call a Pre-Occupation Inspection.
This meeting will cover:
- You will be asked to confirm that the sanitaryware, kitchen units, wall tiling and any floor coverings are in good order and to sign a form to record this. We are not responsible for any damage caused by moving into or living in your new home.
- An inspection of the entire house both internally and externally. Whilst we definitely aim to get everything right first time, we do rely on a multitude of suppliers and subcontractors and we do not pretend to be perfect. If, during inspection, there are items which you consider to be unsatisfactory, these will be recorded on the inspection sheet and our customer care and site team will do their utmost to put things right prior to you moving into your new home.
- Showing you where the meters and stop valves are located.
- A demonstration of the appliances and heating system. You will receive an Appliance Folder with instruction books when you move into your new home.
