Woodstock Homes put Ammanford back in the running!
When Amman Valley Harriers were struggling to gain support for their forthcoming 10k Road Race on Sunday 10 th July, local homebuilders Woodstock Homes stepped in as main sponsors.
Woodstock Homes are currently constructing 20 detached 4 bed homes in Ammanford at their Mountain View site where over a quarter of the available homes have already been sold.
To show its support for the local community Woodstock Homes also 'volunteered' its Construction Manager, Simon Taylor to take part in the race, he will be joined by his girlfriend Georgina Middle. Both Simon and Georgina are hoping to do well as they are experienced Marathon and 10k runners.
Site Manager Dave Jones lives 'next door' to the Woodstock Homes site and has been busy lending a hand to organise start banners.
Rosemary Fitzgerald, Secretary of the Amman Valley Harriers, helped arrange the sponsorship and commented; "The Woodstock Homes site is well known and seems to be very popular. It's great that Woodstock Homes have taken a real involvement, not only with their sponsorship, but also in taking part in the race itself."
